Retail: Changing lives one brand at a time
The more we trade – the more we impact lives.

Over the years we have continued to develop and execute new solutions which have influenced our industry. We have remained committed to evolving with the times, ensuring that we are aware of, and responsive to our clients changing needs as the retail landscape shifts, investing in innovation to meet these requirements and developing opportunities and solutions where others may see challenges. Trade makes this possible.

By means of purchasing and using goods from all over the world, we are all globally connected to one another through trade. Our lives are influenced by this daily, yet we hardly even think about the effect it has on us and those around us.

The current consensus is that trade, development, and poverty reduction are intimately linked. The more we consume, the more goods are made, the more goods are traded and so on and so forth. It is because of this cycle that people are fed, provided with jobs and families are taken care of. While trade is not the only factor to be taken into consideration here, it’s important to note that trade helps to boost local economies, increase employment and ultimately, bring people together.

More trade means more choices, it encourages innovation, brings prices down, fights poverty and helps new industries to flourish. Most importantly, trade connects countries and strengthens ties between nations by bringing people together in peaceful and mutually beneficial exchanges which also boosts economies and increases employment.

We are living through some of the most unpredictable and unstable times in recent history, with severe political, economic and environmental symptoms of massive income inequality and troubling climate change.

With the help of trade, we are helping our people and our planet to thrive and prosper in the years to come. By improving lives and reducing environmental effects, a valuable impact is inevitable…

Do you agree that trade and poverty reduction is linked? How else do you think trade helps us better our people and our planet?
