August 2016, Johannesburg – Smollan has been evaluated in terms of section 9(1) of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act 53, using the amended Generic Scorecard, as a level four contributor in August 2016.

Transformation is an integral part of the organisational strategy at Smollan, and is managed as a deliberate process ensuring that empowerment activities add value to and contribute towards the transformation agenda of the organisation and society. Diversity, broad-based economic empowerment and sustainable transformation remain key strategic thrusts for the business.
