Smollan invests in South Africa’s favourite on-line dinner-kit service, UCOOK
International Retail Solutions Company, Smollan, expands Marketing services capability by partnering with online grocery player, UCOOK.
From 24 boxes in their first delivery to tens of thousands in 2018, a warehouse space in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and now a team of 50, UCOOK has established itself as South Africa’s favourite dinner kit service in just 3 years.
The partnership will enhance Smollan’s Marketing solutions through offering clients the opportunity to bring their brands to life in consumer’s homes. Smollan will also benefit through tapping into UCOOK’s online and direct-to-consumer expertise.

UCOOK came about in 2014 when two friends, David Torr and Chris Verster Cohen, noticed a gap in the market for convenient, healthy dinner solutions.
